Special interest discussion - Antisocial behaviour

We recently invited panel members who told us they have experienced anti-social behaviour in their home to join a special interest discussion on complaints about anti-social behaviour.

Thank you to everyone who joined the session on 16 October.

The purpose of the session was to hear from the panel about how their landlords are responding to reports of antisocial behaviour and what they could do be doing better. We also wanted to find hear from the panel about how the Ombudsman can make its role clearer about how we investigate complaints about a landlord's handling of antisocial behaviour.

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is the second most common type of complaint that we receive from residents, after repairs, which indicates there is still plenty more work to be done in the sector. The impact that ASB can have on an individual in their home is huge and that is why it is important for us as an Ombudsman to ensure that we are clear about how we can help if you are unhappy with the way your landlord is responding to reports of ASB you have made to it.

If you were unable to make the session or did attend and want to provide more feedback, please complete the form below.
