Shared ownership special interest discussion group

This group has now closed.

We would like to invite you to the first Resident Panel special interest discussion.

You have been selected to join this discussion to share your views as you told us you own part of your home when you applied to join the Resident Panel.

The meeting will take place over Zoom on Thursday 25 July at 5pm to 6pm - meeting has now closed

We are inviting you to this meeting to help us put together guidance about how the Housing Ombudsman can help shared owners with complaints about housing.

Our vision is to provide an accessible Housing Ombudsman Service, and we are continuously working to ensure we are providing residents with helpful and easy to understand information.

At the meeting, we will discuss how we can tell shared owners about what we can and can’t do to help with a complaint to accompany an Insight report the Ombudsman’s team is currently writing about shared ownership complaints we are seeing in our casework.

The Ombudsman may decide to write an Insight report where we see themes in cases being referred to the service.

Please note, special interest discussions will only go ahead if a minimum of 10 members sign up to attend the meeting.

We will provide confirmation of the meeting going ahead at least 5 working days before (18 July 2024).

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to share your views, please complete the survey below.
