Member Responsible for Complaints (MRC) Conference 2024

Registrations are now closed for the Housing Ombudsman Member Responsible for Complaints Conference 2024.

Hosted by the Centre for Learning, this free event will focus on fostering and embedding a positive complaints culture in your organisation and how the statutory Complaint Handling Code acts as the gold standard to promote learning from complaints.

We have an exciting agenda planned to include:

  • landlord guest speakers sharing lessons learned following special inspections into their complaint handling

  • workshops on embedding a positive complaint culture and how to effectively self-assess against the statutory Complaint Handling Code

  • managing effective change through mergers and ALMOs

  • Q&A with the Ombudsman and its team providing insight into our Annual Complaints Review

  • workshops with the Centre for Learning on applying the Ombudsman’s dispute resolution principles in complaint handling

  • networking with other member landlords across England

The Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code introduced a statutory requirement for organisations to appoint a Member Responsible for Complaints as of 1 April 2024.
